The wine region
The size and diversity within the region of Navarre offers a wide range of possibilities and styles. Serious, consistent and elegant reds and blushes mark the region's wines, juxtapositioned with castles and picturesque villages that make up the spectacular landscape. The famous Camino de Santiago trail crosses the region´s fertile valleys as well.

Local gastronomy
Some of the most characterstic foods of Navarre are: the asparagus, the Lodosa piquillo pepper, Idiazabal cheese, Tudela artichokes, Roncal cheese, as well as the Navarre olive oil and beef and pork from the region.
One of the most interesting flavors found in the region belongs to the liquor called Pacharán. The word Pacharán gained recognition towards the end of the 19th century, but the liquor was already well-known and has been enjoyed by the Navarran people since the Middle Ages.
