The wine region
One of the youngest wine regions in Spain, as well as one of the fastest growing. The region's high quality and low yield harvests have catapulted it to the forefront of the spanish Wine Renaissance.
Local gastronomy
Apart from the Somontano wines, there are several other products which have merited the "denominación de origen" title in the Aragon region. They are: ternasco (a type of lamb), Teruel ham, Calanda peaches, asparagus, the Cava and the olive oil of Bajo Aragón.
