Only during the harvest season (from mid-August to early October) we offer an exclusive Grape Stomping Tour in Barcelona (Spain) that combines the traditional wine tour and tastings plus the incredible opportunity to press the grapes with your feet to make grape juice like it was done before!

Barcelona Grape Stomping Tour: The Itinerary

Pick-up and drop off at your hotel

The tour takes places about 45 minutes outside of Barcelona, in the Penedès Wine and Cava Region. One of our professional drivers and a guide can come to your hotel or residence in the city and take you to the winery.  

Let us know if you have your own vehicle! We can also meet you at the winery itself. 

Grape Harvest and Stomping Experience

Our Barcelona Grape Stomping Tour includes a visit to a family-run winery where you will:

• Walk through the vineyards as you learn about the land and the wine.
• Harvest the grapes by hand that you will use in the wine press.
• Stomp the grapes like it was done traditionally.
• Cellar grape-juice tasting.
• Wine tasting of the various wines available (white, rosé, red and dessert).

This is a 3-hour experience.

The Barcelona Grape Stomping Tour takes place in the Penedès Wine Region, about an hour outside of Barcelona. We always recommend extending the tour for a full day unforgettable experience. 

Cava Winery visit

Catalonia is also popular for its sparkling wines. Do not miss the opportunity of enjoying a family-run winery where they still do the ‘degorge’ by hand! This is a unique opportunity and one of our visitors’ favorite experiences! One of the owners will walk you though the winery and their passion will make fall in love with their artisanal work. Not to mention their fantastic sparkling wine! 

Picnic lunch in the vineyards

The harvest season is still warm, sunny … a lunch in the vineyards is a fantastic option to complete a perfect day out in the wine region. 

We will take care of everything. Just relax and enjoy being out in the vineyards and tasting local products.

4×4 route through the vineyards

If you prefer a fun addition, you can add a 4×4 route through the vineyards. This is a 1-hour route with a stop to enjoy the beautiful landscape and a glass of wine.
